(PCM) My favorite author and bestselling horror maestro Mr. Stephen King has a news project coming to TV screens soon. The adaption is based on the bestselling author’s detective novel, “Mr. Mercedes.” The novel follows the story of a detective that is taunted and manipulated by a killer. The novel is very engaging and I’m recommending if you’re a fan of King’s to check it out. All though he announced his retirement close to a decade ago his writing and ability to write a tale hasn’t dwindled.
The show will run ten one hour long episodes. Brenden Gleeson will play Detective Bill Hodges, who is trying to hunt down demented killer Brady Hartsfield who is being played by Harry Treadaway. Kelly Lynch, Jharrel Jerome, Scott Lawrence, Robert Stanton, Breeda Wool, Justine Lupe, and Ann Cusack will also appear alongside Mary Louise-Parker and Holland Taylor.
The series is being written by David E. Kelly ( From the Hip, L.A. Law) and is currently in production in South Carolina. AT&T Audience Network and Sonar Entertainment will produce.
