Ross returns to Comedy Central in August armed and ready to take aim at the week’s hottest topics in his brand new weekly half-hour series, The Burn with Jeff Ross. The show premieres Tuesday, August 14 at 10:30/9:30c, but Comedy Central wants to get us warmed up even earlier. Do you know what that means? A double dose of Jeff Ross!
Not only will his new series kick off, but just days prior, Saturday, August 11 at 11/10c, we’ll be treated to – and roasted, too – as Ross takes his roast on the road to film his one-hour stand-up special, Jeff Ross Roasts America.
So what can we expect from the Roastmaster General? Well, The Burn with Jeff Ross will run for six episodes and feature Ross and a panel of guest comedians who will skewer the week’s hot topics in-studio. There will be plenty of original segments like the “Roaster Coaster,” where we hit the streets to take aim at people like meter maids and paparazzi, “Roasting the Week,” where we’ll get a no-holds-barred look at the week’s pop culture topics, “Friendly Fire,” where we’ll witness Ross knocking on celebrity front doors, camera in tow and “Too Soon,” where Ross will provide commentary on the recently departed.
But in case you need more Ross and Roasts in your life, don’t forget that one-hour stand-up special. Throughout the hour, Ross will visit several cities across the country, roasting towns and residents in speed roasts. Among other things, we’ll find him roasting a statue of Abe Lincoln in DC, getting roasted by John Rich in Nashville and bringing an old friend onstage in Minneapolis to tell a very intimate story that we can only imagine shouldn’t be share on television.
Suffice to say… he’s going to continue to earn that title of “Meanest Man in Comedy!” Good thing he knows how to make mean be side-splittingly funny.
