During last night’s episode of Food Network Star, Bob and Susie said the network was only going to screen three pilots which meant that out of the six remaining finalists, three would be going home. But after filming their own pilots and screening them before a group of esteemed Food Network chefs, Team Alton threw a wrench into that plan when both Martie and Justin were picked up for pilot – as was Michele from Team Bobby and Yvan from Team Giada.
But now the judges, the mentors, the network… they are putting it all in our hands, leaving it up to the audience to decide who they want to see on the network. Who’s your favorite? You can vote up to 10 times per day both by phone and online as well as screen their pilots once again. I admit, heading into the evening, I had a clear favorite – I knew who I thought would make the best Food Network Star – but after seeing their pilots, anything could happen! I mean, how adorable, endearing and insightful was Yvan’s pilot? Wasn’t Martie’s just SO Martie? Didn’t Michele come across so natural and inviting during hers? And, Justin, well, has there ever been anything negative to say about the Rebel?
It’s a hard decision to make, but someone is walking home with the title and their own show. (On the bright side, there can’t really be a bad winner.) Who’s it going to be? It’s up to YOU! So get over there and vote for your favorite.
The winner will be announced during the Food Network Star season finale on Sunday, July 22 at 9 PM ET. But before the results are announced and a new star is crowned, the finalists will return to the studio with their mentors and Food Network execs and judges to tell all and view never-before-seen footage from the season. After that, the votes will be revealed!
