Winning actor Charlie Sheen recently told the New York Times that his new series, Anger Management, will be more than just another project.

He called it the “swan song” of his career. The television series, loosely based on the 2003 film of the same name, tells the story of the character of Charlie, who was once a baseball player before his own anger management problems cost him his career. After Sheen’s infamous exit from Two and a Half Men last year, the role has some similar undertones.

And the producers of Anger Management shouldn’t expect all of Sheen’s old behaviors to remain in the past. “Then they shouldn’t have hired me,” Sheen told New York Times “They knew what they were getting. And they know it’s not always going to be smooth sailing.”

The series Anger Management premieres June 28 on FX.
