It wasn’t too long ago that the big season 2 finale of Pretty Little Liars led our favorite Liars to unmask A, but as we all know, the show certainly doesn’t end there! And neither do the lies, the danger, the drama… or the texts!
Season 3 returns to ABC Family at 8/7c on Tuesday, June 5, but the first trailer for the season has been released and is getting us more than excited for the show’s return and all that could be in store for this season.
So, what did we see in that sneak peek? Well, here’s what we caught:
Things seem to be heating up with Spencer and Toby, but Spencer seems to be a brave one to go and speak to a rather terrible looking Garrett in prison who reveals there is “a lot you don’t know.” About A? About Melissa and him? About Ali’s murder? Who knows!
While things also appear to look good for Hanna and Caleb (who was bumped to a series regular this season. Yay!), Hanna certainly will not have it easy this season as we see her interacting with Mona. We’re happy to see that Hanna is going to let it out on Mona, but Mona looks pretty distant sitting in that sanatorium, doesn’t she? And does she know about the return texts and who’s behind them? She mentioned “team A” in the finale, will the team fight on without her?
Again, the relationship between Aria and Ezra seems to be doing well, especially with Ezra there to ensure she’s safe… but apparently he can’t keep her safe at all times. Because there’s that scene that looks like it comes straight from Scream where Aria is screaming in the bathroom stall for help while a figure lurks outside the door. Uh, we can’t wait for that!
Emily looks upset throughout almost the entire trailer and we don’t blame her, especially when she finds that creepy “can’t smile” bracelet. We even catch a glimpse of her in front of a dug-up grave with a shovel in her hand. Did she dig up a(nother) grave? Was it Alison’s? Maya’s? Is Maya really dead? Oh, so many questions!
And then, of course, there’s Jenna. She appears to be moving her sunglasses down. Will the girls find out that she can see again? And what about the Black Swan? No mention of her in the trailer, but she’s certainly still on our minds…
Between returning to Mona’s hotel lair and the new text messages from A, it’s clear that the Rosewood drama is still in full effect… perhaps more than ever. I mean, can you even wait to see how the dynamic changes now that we know about Mona?
Don’t miss a second of theanticipated third season when it premieres
Tuesday, June 5, at 8/9c on ABC Family.
