Admit it! You’re just as addicted to Cupcake Wars as we are. Whether it’s the creative challenges, the mouth-watering cupcakes or that charming magician-turned-host, there is always something to keep us tuned in. And now things are going to get even sweeter as the crème de la crème of the cupcake world take their skills to the next level when they return to Food Network for the sweetest competition yet: Cupcake Champions.
Premiering Sunday, May 13, at 8 PM on the Food Network, Cupcake Champions is a five-part special series where each week, four previous Cupcake Wars winners face off in three tasty elimination challenges until only one decorate remains and wins the ultimate cupcake showcase. Judges Candace Nelson and Florian Bellanger return to be impressed once again by these winners.
As always there will be a theme and showcase the winner of each episode is working towards. The first four will surround parties for SPIDER-MAN Turn Off the Dark, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, Glee! and Brave. But in the star-studded finale on June 10 where one winner will become the ultimate Cupcake Champion, donning the title as such, the bakers will create a cupcake work of art inspired by the brightest Food Network stars, with appearances by Food Network Star staples Bob Tuschman, Susie Fogelson, Alton Brown, Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay, as the winner showcases their cupcakes at the Food Network Cupcakes! App for iPad launch party!
