The countdown is on until the June return of Pretty Little Liars (41 days and counting…), but now fans of ABC Family’s The Lying Game also have reason to celebrate!
It was confirmed today that the drama, lies, twists and romances of The Lying Game will be back for a second season. Good thing, too, after that season finale! Everyone should be looking forward to that next premiere episode, right?
In case you need to play catch up with the series – or need a little enticement to watch the season on Netflix and get hooked – here’s the lowdown: identical twins Emma Becker and Sutton Mercer were separated at birth and led very different lives, each oblivious to the other’s existence until circumstances bring them back together. Yearning for the family she never had, kind-hearted foster kid agrees to step into Sutton’s privileged shoes while she searches for their birth parents, setting in motion a web of secrecy and lies.
The show is based around the series of books penned by author Sara Shepard, who also writes the Pretty Little Liars novels. She knows her way around some good drama, but we can’t wait to see what ABC Family brings to the new season of the incredibly addictive The Lying Game.
