It’s no secret that you can always find something good to watch on USA Network. Just look at their current line-up of original series featuring gems like Psych, White Collar, Covert Affairs, Suits and Necessary Roughness to name a few. And, hello, does anyone remember that masterpiece called Monk? Suffice to say, USA’s batting average is well above just about any other network’s… and the streak is going to continue this May when their newest original series premieres: Common Law.

Michael Ealy and Warren Cole lead the cast as Travis Marks and Wes Mitchell, two LA detectives who have been partners for years. But while they’ve managed to become the best detectives on the job, they can’t seem to manage to tolerate one another. As you’ll see, mixing Travis’ rough and tumble tactics with Wes’ by-the-books nature will surely prompt some volatile reactions. So what can be done to make sure that personal drama doesn’t get in the way of the job? How about marriage counseling?

That’s what the chief recommends as Travis and Wes find themselves in some hilarious toe-to-toe situations in their group therapy sessions. While you can expect great storylines and plenty of laughs, don’t expect Travis and Wes to work out their issues anytime soon! I mean, take a look for yourself below:

At the end of 2011, I had the opportunity to visit the set of Common Law in the beautiful New Orleans, so stay tuned for all things Common Law – from chats with the stars of the show, insight from the executive producer, a review of the pilot, exclusive photos from the set and more, you’ll find everything here in the weeks to come as we prepare to welcome one of our new favorite shows to TV on May 11… and to help you figure out if you’ll find yourself on Team Travis or Team Wes!

Series Premiere of Common Law airs Friday, May 11, at 10 PM on USA.
