We have been looking forward to Syfy’s new series Total Blackout since we first heard about it in October. And now we have a premiere date: April 25!

Jaleel White hosts this Syfy competition series where contestants battle each other and their fears in a series of challenges, confronting their worst enemy – themselves. But, of course there’s a twist! All the challenges are played in complete darkness; no lights, no blindfolds and no-holds barred as they face their fears and unexpected surprises in a series of nerve-wracking games.

We got to see a demonstration of the promise this season holds when Syfy sent four journalists – and Eureka’s Colin Ferguson – into a pitch black room and had to guess what was in three different tanks. We cannot properly convey the sheer hilarity that ensued through words alone.

But now we have a sneak peek of the series, itself, and couldn’t be happier to share it with you! Seriously, who doesn’t want to watch people freak out while they wonder what they’re touching or walking on? It’s going to be good. Take a look:

Series Premiere of Total Blackout airs Wednesday, April 25 at 10/9c on Syfy.
