Gleeks have reason to cheer as it was announced that Chord Overstreet (“Sam Evans”) is set to return to Glee for a multi-episode arc beginning this December. With a rich back story and that blossoming romance between him and Mercedes in his last episode, there’s no telling what he’ll come back to McKinley High for. But whatever it is, Sam fans, rejoice!

“We love Chord and have always said that we wanted him back,” said Ryan Murphy, executive producer and co-creator of Glee. “So here’s an early Christmas present for all the Gleeks—Sam is coming back to McKinley, and just in time for sectionals!”

“I had the best time on Glee and couldn’t be more excited to be returning,” Overstreet added.

Even more exciting news, Glee will be back with all-new episodes beginning Tuesday, November 1 and we will finally get to see The Glee Project Winner Damian McGinty beginning his guest starring role! In a sure to be hysterical storyline, McGinty plays Rory Flanagan, a new foreign exchange student, who enrolls at McKinley and crashes with Brittany, who thinks he’s a leprechaun. That’s gold!
