New Jersey was delivered a huge serving of laughter last Friday when comedian Claudia Stavola appeared at the Hamilton Manor in Yardville, NJ.

Stavola has been doing comedy for five years, and although she was raised in Connecticut, she has a huge appreciation for and loyalty to her “Jersey” fans.

“The personality of a Jersey crowd is that they are more down to earth, they are not easily offended, they are not uptight, and it is easier to be more natural on stage when I am around them,” explained Stavola. “You would be surprised how different the atmosphere is depending on where you perform. Where you are performing dictates what bits will go over better based on the area you are in.”

Stavola gets to deliver some more of her, as she describes it, “politically incorrect” humor to a friendly bunch in Bordentown’s Villa Mannino on Nov. 3. This time around the layout is a private gig, which includes an all male crowd.

“This is totally my cup of tea,” she laughed. “New Jersey men are real men, compared to Connecticut where we have a fair share of prissy, rich guys.” Another venue some Jersey-ans might enjoy is her appearance at Comix in Foxwoods Resort Casino. At least the fans can have a chance to laugh after potentially losing money to endless rounds at the slot machines.

One of her favorite marks she has left on New Jersey so far was when she opened up for Artie Lange. Lange who was on The Howard Stern show was born in Livingston Township, N.J. Her experience with him was so nice she wish she could do it twice.

“If Artie happens to be reading this article, he is more than welcome to get in touch with me,” she joked. “He was so down to earth and just a very kind person.”

There is one thing about this state she finds comical, and that is not our high levels of parkway traffic or our population of “bad drivers.” Here is a hint: GTL! Stavola enjoys watching as well as making fun of everything Jersey Shore related. Then again, who doesn’t?

“I usually say to the crowd, ‘so how weird looking are the guys on the show,’” she stated. “Then I say, ‘I wouldn’t bang any of those guys not Vinny, not Ronnie, not JWoww. Yeah, he’s the worst.’”

Another one of her quotes involves poking fun at Snooki’s love situation. Currently on the show, all Snooki has done is fought with current “juicehead” boyfriend, Jionni. She has become this season’s Ronnie and Sammi. To pre-face Stavola’s quote, Jionni is not only four feet tall, which matches Snooki’s height, but he is glued next to her like a parrot to a pirate.

“I usually say, ‘Snooki is such a tiny little person who has one of the tiniest little asses I have ever seen. His name is Jionni, right?’”

She unfortunately does not have a bit about "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" at this time, because she does not watch the show. If someone were to provide her with a summary of what has happened this entire season it can be summed up in one sentence: Teresa now has conflicts with everyone on the show. Either way Stavola does not understand the appeal and was able to supply some of her own personal feedback.
