For all of us ravenous fans of The Hunger Games, we just need to tune in to the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards Sunday, August 28 at 9 PM (ET/PT) to catch an exciting and exclusive first glimpse at the highly-anticipated film. The segment will be introduced by the film’s star, Jennifer Lawrence.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world in the country of Panem where North America once existed, The Hunger Games follows the quest of “Tributes” – one teenage boy and girl chosen from each of the country’s twelve districts – as they compete in the Hunger Games. Part twisted entertainment, part government intimidation tactic, the Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains. Lionsgate will release the film on March 23, 2012.
This exclusive glimpse at the film will only be part of the night that is set to light LA on fire as it is sure to be a celebrity filled event.
