truTV is heading back to Detroit for more adventures in the world of pawn with the second season of the hit series HARDCORE PAWN, an inside look at one of the country’s largest pawn shops and the family that runs it. HARDCORE PAWN, which in August scored truTV’s biggest series launch ever, is produced by Zodiak USA. The series kicks off its second season Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).
In good times and bad, pawn shops enjoy a steady clientele: those who come in to hock valuables and those who look for good deals on previously owned goods. For people in Detroit, the go-to pawn shop is the expansive American Jewelry and Loan. Dubbed “the working man’s bank,” American Jewelry and Loan has been in business for more than four decades, with more than 10,000 square feet of merchandise.
