MTV Jumpstarts The Weekend
People will have another reason to look forward to the weekend, thanks to MTV’s exciting new programming lineup. Premiering Saturday, May 1st, the network is introducing celeb-driven original programs that embrace everything pop culture.
“When I Was 17″
Saturdays, 11 AM ET/PT
The entertainments starts with a new weekly series called When I Was 17. This funny and enlightening show will focus on the lives of three uniquely different celebrities, as viewers take a look at what these stars were like when they were 17.
The show will explore their family life, friendships, romantic relationships, part-time jobs and the things they did, or didn’t do, to get them where they are today. When I Was 17 is an instant nostalgic trip looking back at pop culture, as they reminisce about their favorite music, movies and TV shows growing up. It will let the viewers see how their favorite star experiences at 17 were just like theirs.
“10 On Top”
Saturdays at 11:30 AM ET/PT
The day continues with another new weekly series called 10 on Top. This half hour show hosted by Lenay Dunn, counts down the Top 10 most texted and talked about young celebs of the week. Viewers can get the latest on their favorite superstar entertainers, what deals they landed, whose hearts they broke and whose star is shining brightest.
10 on Top will also introduce the latest must see bands and deliver exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the hottest movies, TV shows and video shoots. This show promises to become the weekly destination for MTV’s savvy, pop-loving, Tweet-happy audience.
“MADE Presents: Kiss & Tell: The Do’s and Dont’s Of Dating”
Saturday at 12 PM ET/PT
Continuing the day is a four hour block of all-new episodes from the Emmy Award winning series, MADE. MADE Presents: Kiss & Tell: The Do’s and Dont’s of Dating will have Kiss & Tell experts teach an insecure high school boy how to become a more confident and romantically successful individual. Teenage girls will also talk about what they look for in a boyfriend.
“MADE”
Saturdays 1 to 4 PM ET/PT
There will be more all new MADE episodes to finish out the day. From figure skating to snowboarding to basketball, our teens in these episodes will have to exhibit hard work and determination in order to go from sports duds to sports stars.
First, viewers will meet the uncoordinated Breland who wins a trip to the NBA All Star Jam Session with hopes of proving that his game is more than just hoop dreams in “MADE: Basketball Player.”
Then, in “MADE: Snowboarder,” fashionista Ashley is over being trapped indoors and wants to bond with the natives by becoming a stylish shredder on the slopes. Rounding out the block is Raine, a high school senior who despite drama at home, wants to shine in the spotlight and make her family proud by being “MADE” into a figure skater.
